The City of Kirkwood Landmarks Commission recognizes J. Milton Turner Offices with the Best Commercial Adaptive Reuse for 2006, presented by Patricia Jones, Chairperson of the Landmarks Commission, and Mike Swoboda, Mayor of the City of Kirkwood on May 10th, 2006. “when the original use of a structure changes or is no longer required, as with older buildings, architects have the opportunity to change the primary function of the structure, while often retaining some of the existing architectural details that make the building unique”

The St. Louis County Historic Buildings Commission voted to award J. Milton Turner Offices with the Adaptive Reuse Award for 2006, “this award has been given since 1982 for the sensitive adaptation of historic properties to new uses and is a priority for the Commission, which is the statutory advisory body on historic preservation to the St. Louis County Council” , presented by Charlie Dooley, County Executive, and the St. Louis County Council on Tuesday May 16th, 2006. |
